When Stephanie Han enters the ring Saturday night in her home town of El Paso, Texas, she will attempt to win the WBA lightweight championship, if successful she will join her sister Jennifer Han as sisters to win world professional titles. Jennifer won the IBF featherweight title.

The Han sisters will join Daniella and Evelyn Bermudez, Dora & Cora Webber, Alesia & Sophie Schumann, Mariana Juárez & Lourdes Juárez, and Caroline Dubois and Daniel Dubois on the short list of sisters who won world titles.

Han takes on Hanna Terlip for the vacant title left when Katie Taylor jumped up in weight to 140, ironically sister Jennifer fought for the same title in 2021 against Taylor, dropping a 10 round decision.

Stephane helped prepare Jennifer for Taylor , this encounter saw that Stephanie still had the goods after taking 9 years off to start her career as an El Paso police officer and to start a family.

Trainer Louie Burke saw her talent and asked her if she thought about coming back. Han did and now she is in line to make history.

“I saw that she was holding her own against Jennifer when they sparred and thought she could make some noise as well.” Said Burke

The Han/Terlip fight is promoted by Kings Promotions.
